Since 1996 and very humble beginnings, Big Beat has grown steadily, and has experienced exponential growth since 2006.  We consider ourselves a regional staging company, able to provide sound, lighting, video, image, staging, power & av to music promoters, hotels, conference venues, event organisers, sporting events, trade shows, government departments, entertainment venues and retail organisations.

Most of our work is within the province of KZN but we have travelled as far as George, Johannesburg and Mozambique before.  As our reputation has grown, so has the need to be able to travel safely and reliably over distances with staff and equipment.  To this end we invested in a Mercedes Sprinter 416 in 2008, and a new Hyundai H100 in 2009.

Big Beat have had a very busy December period.  Amongst many other events, we were the official provider of Sound, Staging and AV to the Kwanaloga Games.  This involved 4000 athletes representing KZN's magisterial districts competing in over a dozen sporting categories over three days in PMB. Huge opening and finishing ceremonies were held at the Northdale Stadium and Royal Showgrounds respectively.

Once again the christmas fair, Fantasia, hired the services of Big Beat to run their PA and entertainment marquee over a period of 10 days.

Finally the AriseFest at Midmar saw the new year in, and was a successful inaugural event.  It will become an annual christian event, running for 3 days and 2 nights over the new year.

We are a small company who take immense pride in our work, and have struck a good balance between callibre of staff and equipment.  We look foreward to working with you in the future!
